Ebba von Wachenfeldt, born in Stockholm 1959, has worked as a Studioglass artist in Sweden, Denmark, the USA and Japan.During her extensive education she has mastered all the techniques of glass blowing, which allow her to constantly pursue new directions. It is the materials unexplored possibilities that leads her further. The Challenge is to capture the movement, the aliveness of glass. Each piece thus has its unique character.

During her time in Japan, Ebba von Wachenfeldt was influenced by the Japanese culture. Particulary the Japanese sense of living in the present. Her glass lives, breathes, shimmers, creates breathing space. The space around the art piece is just as important as the piece itself to make a movement a continuation, a gust of wind, or a thougt. Through her work we have the possibility of owning our own experience and the present.
